2011-08-26 Advisory Board meeting in Gdynia

The first meeting of the Advisory Board in Gdynia took place beginning of August. Gdynia Aquarium had invited touristic experts to its museum. The presentation and discussions about the project with people from the tourist business gave many new insights and ideas. The guests were:

- Aneta G??bocka from Tourist Information in Sopot
- Katarzyna Nowicka from Polish Maritime Museum

2011-08-17 South Baltic Annual Conference in November, Germany


The South Baltic Annual Conference and the Projects Forum will take place on 28- 29 November 2011 in Schwerin, Germany. The BalticMuseums projects will be presented with an own stand. The South Baltic Programme Award will be a highlight of the conference, give to the projects in three categories:

• the best photo of the project,

• the most creative logo, and

• the most interesting website.

Voting is made by the public via internet, starting mid September!

2011-08-15 Steering Committee and Managing Authority meet in Stralsund


The Steering Committee and the Managing Authority of the South Baltic Programme will meet in Stralsund on October 5. The BalticMuseums projects and the Contact Point in Rostock organize the evening programme in the OZEANEUM. The project team is very proud to be able to present the project results in this context.

2011-08-12 Projects will be presented in Turku, Finland


On Sept 15, Prof. Dr. Michael Klotz, project leader of BalticMuseums 2.0 and BalticMuseums 2.0 Plus, will present the results from the project at an international tourism workshop in Finland. The "Common Future for Baltic Tourism II Seminar" will take place at Herrankukkaro in the city of Naantali, Finland on 14-15 September 2011. It is organized by several Finish and European organizations and part of the Flagship Project 12.7 of the European Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, Priority Area Tourism.
